What If Metropolis: Production Art For Market

 After identifying the types of things I wanted to add to the market part of the environment, I became producing production art of the different version of the stalls I had previously drawn. I also continued to drawn all the miscellaneous things which will be found in the environment, which weren't important enough to get an orthograph, by still needed to be drawn for reference.

Toolkit 2: Life Drawing 27/1/22

 Below is the first drawing I did on returning to life drawing from the Christmas break. I found it hard to get back into the flow of drawing a live model at first. I feel like the drawing conveys this. I also found that I was trying to rush to the final product before having a solid grasp of the pose. This lead to a drawing which was out of proportion.  In order to warm up we completed a drawing exercise were the model changes pose every 1 minute. This exercise forces you to not worry about drawing in detail and instead focus on the important lines to build the silhouette.  Below is a five minuet drawing  After the break we completed another set of 1 minute drawings in order to warm up again.  In the drawing below I tried to no think about the final product and instead focus on making sure the direction of the lines were accurate. Major Project: Skinning The Samurai Character - Part 2

 Today I continued with the upper body skinning, using the Jetpack Jones video tutorials as a guide.  I started by skinning the characters hand. I then had to skin the rest of the fingers on my own after the tutorial does one of the fingesrs. this helped me to rememeber the process I then moved on to the arm. I had to make the appropriate changes for my own character as the arms were different from Jetpack Jones.  Unfortunately my characters arms don't quite line up on either side, meaning they are not symmetrical. This meant simply mirroring the skin weights messed up the whole of the arm, to the point that it was just easier to skin the arm again. I managed to remember a lot of the process when it came to the hand.
