Fantastic Voyage: Making The Main Character In 3D

My initial thought for creating the Ghost character was to take the pre-made human character, which I used previously in another project, and extrude it into the ghost character. This was due to there already being a model made as well as the rig.

However after talking to my tutor I realized that I would be taking someone else's work instead of making it myself. For this reason I gave up on that idea and made the character from scratch with my orthographs.

I started with the body and head which I made out of a cylinder with the subdivision of 8. I then extruded up the top to create the head and neck. On my fist attempt I tried modelling the tail part of the ghost in a neural position. However this did not look right.

I decided to try again, this time creating a wave effect by extruding side to side.

This whole process took a lot of attempts, however I am happy with the results as I feel it resembles the character I drew.
