Creating A Name And Logo

 In order to think of a name for our group, I decided to search for different words for "funny" in the thesaurus. I did this as we are a comedy skit company and so I wanted to reflect this idea in our name. Below I have listed some of the names I thought of

  • Funny Business
  • Horseplay
  • Horsing Around
  • Buffoon
  • Dad Joke
  • Funny Bone
  • Cackling
  • Pulling My leg
  • Witty
  • Happy
I then tried to think of visual examples of these words which could be used for a logo. 


I decided on the name Funny Bones as I liked the idea of including a skeleton in the logo and thought it was an interesting name.


I started by coming up with ideas of the logo using pictures found online. The concept of my idea is that there is a skeleton who is bashing his funny bone on the logo, causing them to scream/laugh. 



I liked this idea and so decided to draw a version of my own which captures our companies character more. 



Once I came up with a skeleton drawing that I was happy with, I then moved on to the logos font.


I then put the two ideas together in order to create the finished logo.







I will present this idea to my group in order to get feedback on what they like and what needs to be improved.

  Reflective Statement For Major Project Overall I am really pleased with the outcome of the animation. This is mainly due to me feeling that I was able to include everything I set out to do, all the way from the beginning of Premise. It has been a very long process, with different routes taken in order to bring me to the final product. At times I felt I had set myself a far too large goal to achieve and was unsure that I was able to complete the project within the timeframe. However I kept going and I am proud to say I completed everything to the best of my ability. I believe the key to succeeding in the completion of this project was good time management. Toolkit 2: Life Drawing 27/1/22

 Below is the first drawing I did on returning to life drawing from the Christmas break. I found it hard to get back into the flow of drawing a live model at first. I feel like the drawing conveys this. I also found that I was trying to rush to the final product before having a solid grasp of the pose. This lead to a drawing which was out of proportion.  In order to warm up we completed a drawing exercise were the model changes pose every 1 minute. This exercise forces you to not worry about drawing in detail and instead focus on the important lines to build the silhouette.  Below is a five minuet drawing  After the break we completed another set of 1 minute drawings in order to warm up again.  In the drawing below I tried to no think about the final product and instead focus on making sure the direction of the lines were accurate.
