Major Project: Rendering Progress 3
Today I continued rendering my scenes. This went quite smoothly as all of the scenes were relatively short, allowing me to complete more in a day.
I really like the framing of this shot, with the item being the focus framed by the characters legs. It was however tricky to light the subject, while also making sure the Samurai's legs were still visible. I ended up going with this lighting as any brighter would have made the ground look too oversaturated.
I wasn't sure if I completely liked the animation for this shot as it seems a bit awkward. However I decided to render it anyway in hopes that I may be able to fix the animation and re-render if there is time at the end. However after the render, I feel the shadows help to make the shot look closer to how I intended the characters movements to look. This is due to there being darker and therefore harder to see the exact movements of the character, allowing the general movements to be read clearly while also disguising the less polished animation. I really like how isolated the character feels, It relays the idea that the character is focused in their own world preparing for battle.
I feel that the darkness adds to the mood of this shot. The Samurai is now prepare to face his opponent.
