Fantastic Voyage: Improving Upon The 3D Models

Now that I have completed the pre-vis for my animation, I now have to go through each scene and improve upon them for the final animation.

I started with Charles Darwin's house

I added a dark blue background to represent the night sky. This is a subtle transition between the beginning of the animation where it is daytime, to signify the passing of time. I extended the house out more to fit within the 1920 x 1080 frame and to make the house look more interesting visually. Finally I added spheres to represent trees in the background.

I previousely mentioned how I would simply block out the university as it is not seen much within the animation. I made its appearance less brief in the pre-vis in order to leave time for the ghost to speak and to help with the flow of the animation.

I decided to make the university look more interesting visually, mainly by adding pillars and stairs.

I am happy with the changes made and feel the two scenes are now ready for the final animation.
